Do Now: Study Island Assignments (Math, English, Science or IMC 2012) for 10 minutes

Classwork: Illustrate a song or poem (5 points EC for Black/African American poet)

1. Select a poem or song (MUST be appropriate- no sex, drugs, violence- clear with me first if you have a question about appropriateness)
2. List of black poets can be FOUND HERE
   
3. Use Scratch to animate

• Complete 30 -60 secs of animation which includes
  
• 2 or more sprites (at least one hand drawn/modified)
• 2 or more costumes for each sprite
  
• Appropriate background or backgrounds
  
• Movement and interaction
  
• Appropriate timings
• Dialog or text from the song/poem

Completed project will be worth 100 points.

Assessment: Study Island- 10 points, Engaged in project- 20 points
